About us
Hidaya Sports Africa Academy
We are a non-profit organization founded on the belief that every girl deserves the chance to play sports. Our journey began when Folke and Idil temporarily moved from Sweden to Kenya, Mombasa and connected with local football coach Zawadi. What started as shared passion grew into a collaboration dedicated to empowering girls through sports.

HiSA - Where it starts
The association was founded out of frustration with the lack of leisure activities for girls in Mombasa. We believe the absence of activities is not due to lack of interest, but because society often overlooks girls’ needs.
HiSA aims to give girls continuity and highlight their right to movement, and the chance to develop an interest in sports. HiSA’s guiding words are “where it starts” – to show that every girl can begin her journey with the organization, but does not have to end within.
